September Albums

Downtown Music Mountain #3

Now usually, I would only post on Sunday, but I wanted to make an exception for every last day of the month. I wanted to talk about my anticipated albums for the upcoming month. I don't know if this will be an every month thing, seeing as I don't have any albums in December I'm looking forward to. Of course, I'll do my research but anyways, here are my 8 albums I'm looking forward to in September! Gonna keep it relatively short since I've got eight bands to pay attention to here.

Alazka: Pheonix
Release date: September 1st, 2017

I found this band pretty recently so not much I can say about them. Also the fact that I've only heard 3 songs by them. So I won't be coming into this album with long awaited expectations. Still, from what I've heard, I'm really interested, especially to hear more of those cleans.

Blindwish: Good Excuses
Release Date: September 1st, 2017

Even less I can say about this band, with only hearing two songs. While these songs didn't impress me too much, I'm still wanting to hear what else they have in store. I see potential. The choruses are catchy and they SLIGHTLY remind me of The White Noise at times.

Happy Hour: What's Your Poison
Release Date: September 2nd, 2017

This EP release is one I've been waiting for, for 6 months ever since I found them. Now at this point, we are close to release day and all I can think about for this EP, is "I need the song featuring Andres." Check it out for yourself, I bet you won't be disappointed.

Adventurer: Sacred Grove
Release date: September 8th. 2017

Maybe my most anticipated album for the month, I've listened to these guys since last year. After the release of their split with Wolf&Bear. They are one of the top guys on Blue Swans Records. I was wondering when they would peek their heads out again and sure enough, it all hit me. Release date, single, another single all in rapid succession. Cannot wait to hear it all.

The Contortionist: Clairvoyant
Release date: September 15th, 2017

So proud to share the same home state with these guys. Found them when they shared a stage with Hail the Sun and Dance Gavin Dance, they are some of the most talented musicians in the game. Their album is so close yet so far away and I cannot wait for it to drop.

Circa Survive: The Amulet
Release date: September 22nd, 2017

I've liked Circa ever since I REALLY got into post-hardcore (late 2015). I mean, they are one of the kings of the genre through the 2000s to now. Now while their singles for this new album haven't impressed me too much. I will always be excited for anything they put out and I'm confident they won't disappoint my thirst for new Circa Survive.

Sea in the Sky: Everything All at Once
Release Date: September 29th, 2017

Another release I've waited for since the beginning of the year. The artwork alone just draws me in, done by the amazing and talented Yvette Young. They released their best song (in my opinion), with Everything All at Once. Actually didn't know they released another single until a little bit ago so if you don't mind, I'll be jamming that as well.

Awaken I Am: Blind Love
Release Date: September 29th, 2017

From what it seems like, from the singles, these guys are going for a little bit of a change in direction in terms of sound. This isn't necessarily a bad thing. In fact, Blind Love reminded me of a Jonny Craig song. Yes, that is a good thing. I expect them to end the month good.

Conclusion:
I really hope all these albums blow me away. I'm also hoping I can at least write some album reviews for some of these releases next month as I try to bring you guys more content. Follow me on Instagram and Twitter for updates and look out for the next blog post this Sunday!
